The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) has taken legal action against three companies that it says attempted to export scrap metal and copper ingots without valid export permits or in violation of permit conditions. The Durban Regional Court issued fines to the three companies on September 6 following their admission of guilt.
