South Africa recorded a R1.74-billion trade surplus in May after a revised R3.53-billion deficit in April, data from the revenue service showed on Friday. Exports rose 8.1% on a month-on-month basis to R112.1-billion rand in May, while imports climbed 3% to R110.3-billion, the South African Revenue Service said.
