Amid a downturn in new-vehicle sales and a challenging economy, JSE-listed automotive holding company Motus achieved consistent operating profit, normalised headline earnings per share (HEPS) and revenue growth for the six months ended December 31, 2018, compared with the six months ended December 31, 2017.

The company’s revenue remained stable at about R39-billion. Operating profit rose 7% to R1.8-billion, compared with R1.7-billion in the prior comparable period.
