State-owned Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) has announced that both lines on its North Corridor have been repaired ahead of schedule. This is owing to the conclusion of most of the repair work on the route between Bloubank and Nhlazatshe stations, in the Northern Cape, where a train derailment on November 8 caused significant damage to the rail infrastructure and rolling stock.
