JSE-listed Aveng remains on track to settle the remaining R353-million of its South African legacy debt this year, CEO Sean Flanagan said on February 21. At its height in 2018, this debt amounted to R3.3-billion. During the six months to December 31, 2022, R125-million was repaid, reducing the debt from R478-million as at June 31 last year.
